Illustration
In 2010 I completed my BA in Illustration with a first class honours degree.
I chose to study illustration at degree level, feeling that it would give me flexibility in the way I work. Throughout the course I did electives in a wide range of topics including photography, children's book illustration, advanced life drawing and more.
My dissertation work focussed on the lives of the male artists of the Vienna Secession and their often complex relationships with the women who they relied about within their domestic and working situations.
The following work contains examples of artwork produced over this period and since, created in a wide variety of mediums.
Digital collage using scanned pencil drawing, watch parts and circuit boards.
Digital Collage using watercolour and graphite life drawing, with stained paper and archive photography.
Book cover designed for 'Deadstar' publications, using digital collage, with a handmade book, sketches and artefacts.
Oil and acrylic on black gessoed canvas.
Paper cut with watercolour background for seasonal series.
Box assemblage using pencil sketch, watercolour landscape and dried grasses.
Pen and Ink illustration for my poetry version of Little Red Riding Hood.
Hand drawn photoshop coloured illustration.
