ARTS4ALL – ART ACADEMY
Arts4All and Pontardawe arts Centre are delighted to be able to offer you all the opportunity of joining the ARTS4ALL ACADEMY.
These are client led sessions designed to welcome students of the arts and to encourage them to explore their own artistic voices. These classes give students a range of artistic opportunities which can include taught sessions, contextual lectures and handouts, talks and discussions, workshops with visiting artists, trips to events and exhibitions as well as feedback and support with ongoing projects
Who: Your academy leader will be Leanne Vaughan-Philipps MA PGCE (Pcet) BA hons
Where: The classes will be held, in the main, in the Oriel Lliw Gallery (2nd floor) of the Pontardawe Arts Centre. Occasional Saturday classes will be held in the studio theatre (ground floor) of the same building with additional sessions taking place on location as agreed with the student group.
When: Classes will run every Wednesday evening from 6 – 8.30pm or 6 – 9pm* (new late night sessions) on the following dates
March 6th /20th/*27th
April 3rd / 24th – Easter Holiday
Additional Saturday sessions will take place on dates to be agreed with the student group. (Proposed Saturday Sessions are 19th January, 9th February, 16th March, and 13th April or 11th May)
What: An initial consultation on January 16th will allow the coordination of a session plan for the term, January to May 2018. This will enable a diverse curriculum for this period.
How much: In order to keep the costs as low as possible there will be a combination of termly membership and session payments.
Membership* = £90 (payable in 3 instalments – before January 9th on February 20th and April 3rd.
This gives you access to teaching and classes for a maximum of 18 sessions (45+hrs)
Session payments = £5 per session (only payable for the sessions that you attend)
This provides you with materials and covers any additional costs for each session.
* Students must pay the membership costs in full even if they are not able to attend after the first 3 sessions. This money is payable on confirmation of cancellation of your place.
Commitment to Quality:
In order to ensure that students receive a quality experience, group numbers are limited. Places are reserved on a first come first served basis with an initial payment of £30 counting as a non-refundable deposit to secure your place.
